Hi all!

My name's Jonathan Hicks and I'm holding a gamer's convention in Lichfield on January 28th 2012.

Called Gamma Con, the convention will cater to all kinds of gamers - wargamers, roleplayers, boardgamers and cardgamers - and as it's a first time event I'm keeping it small. As well as traders, I really want gamers turn up and spend the day blasting seven bells out of each other. In a fun, sociable way, of course.

What I'm more than interested in is support for the day's events. I really want traders involved to sell their wares, and although I have tables to game on I lack scenery and bits and bobs to really sell it. If you want to trade (even if you just want a table to sell your collection off) or if anyone can help me out or point me in the right direction then please get in touch.

More details can be found here at our website:
http://www.gammacon.moonfruit.com

And at our Facebook page:

Or email me direct at:

Hi everyone –

Just to let you know that we are opening up trading tables to anyone who wants to have a go at selling their wares. Maybe you’ve got a collection you want to cull, or some old gaming materials you want shot of – for £15.00 for the day you can get yourself a 182cm x 69cm table you can display your wares on. This price will get two people in, so if you want some help on the day or you want to share a table with one other friend then be our guest.

We only have a few tables available, so if you’re interested send an email to gammaconvention@gmail.com with your requirements and what you’ll be selling. Include your Paypal email address and we’ll send you a Paypal invoice for £15.00, payable before the event and non-refundable unless the event is cancelled.

Hi all - here's an update about what's happening at Gammacon:

Angus Abranson of Cubicle 7 has kindly donated an adventure for the wonderful Starblazer Adventures game. I want at least four players for that so let me know if you're up for it! It'll be a first time for me with the FATE system!
http://www.cubicle7.co.uk

Kyle Daniels will be there on the day, creator of 'Braggart - The game of heroes, lies and unfortunate fish...' with demos and copies for sale.
Braggart Card Game

UK Distributor of Board Games and Card Games

Hopwood Games will be joining us, with the charming Andy Hopwood doing demos of his games MIJNLIEFF (winner of the Best Abstract Game Award at the UK Games Expo 2011) and Niche.

Jedi News, the largest UK Star Wars fansite with 6 million monthly hits and all kinds of sway in the Star Wars community will be there for charity and promotional work.

NEWS UPDATE

The excellent news is that Spirit Games of Burton will be there on the day with a small trade stand and possible demos of the Conflicting Kingdoms card game and perhaps some Malifaux.
www.spiritgames.co.uk

RAFFLE! On the day you'll have the chance to take part in a raffle to win the roleplaying game STARBLAZER ADVENTURES from Cubicle 7.

There'll be a table available for Magic: The Gathering players, so bring your decks if you want to have a blast.

All games on the day will now be scheduled around sign-up sheets for the tables present. When you get there then pop your name down in the available slot and if a game comes up you can play. I'll be trying to run some introductory RPG games on the day using the Fighting Fantasy rules system, so if you've got a friend or relative of any age you'd like to introduce to the hobby, bring them down and we'll have some fun!

LOOKING FOR GMs!

What we need are a couple of GMs to run a three-hour session on a couple of tables. A single table can get 1 GM and 4 players around it and we'll be running two sessions per table that will last from 10:15 to 13:15, then 13:30 to 16:30. If you're interested then drop me a line and let me know what game you'd like to run and I'll advertise it for you until the table fills.

I am afraid to say I am not actually going to be able to make it as it turns out as it clashes with a magic Pre relese I have to be at especially as Phil is abandoning poor sally in the shop to go to Gammacon.

However Good luck & you will have Phill over doing Malifaux Demo's as well as every thing else.
