Hi thanks for the welcome. I'm basically here to try and find a group to play D & D 4th ed with, I've played a few hour but our group separated and I'd love to get back into it, mainly inspired by listening to Nerd Poker if anyone listens? I'm in the Burton area and if anyone wants a new player who is willing to learn, please message me

Well we have a lot of regular RPG nights where quite a variety of games get played.

There is a Wed night Session at Spirit Games (http://www.spiritgames.co.uk) which has alternating games/DM's and certainly wroth dropping by to get to know the gang. As well as this there are regular Thurs night sessions, also at Spirit Games (http://www.spiritgames.co.uk) where there are currently 2 separate tables of games being run with plenty of room to expand to more as people join the group.

So feel free to drop by and say hi, your welcome to come along and just observe getting to know people or if there is a space I'm sure they can work. We are are quite friendly and usually do not bite  ;D

Hope to see you soon and thanks again for joining the Big Bang Burger Bar.

Always nice to have a new member & you would be more than welcome at either of the games nights Zarni mentioned details of which are listed on this forum's calender.

Sounds great. I'll try and get down for an hour or so tomorrow night. Then I suspect I'll be buying some handbooks over the weekend. What kind of campaigns do you run?

Mine are well getting back to basics which is why I like Hackmaster & why I also like Runequest & its companion Basic Roleplaying very grim usialy low fantasy with quite a bit of role play & personal interaction.

I will however run any thing & have run a lot of stuff over the years form FASA Star Trek to Exalted by way of Dark heresy and deathwatch.

The games on tomorrow will be Hackmaster at Frandors keep - low level, low fantasy very gritty with very much the feel of first edition AD&D but with a better game system.

Also running will be either Deadlands  wyrd wild west using the Savage worlds version or Shadow run I think using the current edition of the rules, apparently very much improved on when I played it last.

on the Alternate week we have Pathfinder which is D&D 3.5 cleaned up and polished as oposed to 4th which is an almost completely different game system to what had gone before.

Not knocking D&D 4e its very good system just doesnt feel like D&D to the old timers where as Pathfinder tends to.

I hope to see you tomorrow.
