The Second Data Pack for Android: Netrunner, Trace Amount, Is Now Available

Trace Amount, the second Data Pack for Android: Netrunner, is now available at your local retailer and online through our webstore!
As the Genesis Cycle propels players deeper into each faction’s tricks and traps, Trace Amount takes a hard look at the work Corps do to trace the criminals who run on their servers, and it looks at the ways that Runners seek to avoid such traces, as well as the consequences they suffer should they fail. The game’s seven factions gain new means to run traces, avoid traces, expose ice, and establish links. Meanwhile, Jinteki fans gain reason to celebrate with the release of a new identity, Replicating Perfection (Trace Amount, 31), and three other cards that open up new mind games and other methods by which they may run their opponents into the ground.

The Corporation that owns what you think and dream, NBN runs the largest and most pervasive media network ever conceived by man, and it streams everything from music to threedee, news to sitcoms, and classic movies to sensies. With such a vast empire of information technology at its disposal, it’s no wonder that NBN excels at running traces and tagging those criminals foolish enough to run against its servers.
In the Core Set, the media giant firmly tied its fortunes to its trace attempts. Beginning with its identity card, Making News (Core Set, 80), and then continuing with such cards as Data Raven (Core Set, 88), SEA Source (Core Set, 86), and Red Herrings (Core Set, 91), NBN gained a wealth of options for conducting traces and tagging its opponents.
Of course, it doesn’t do much good to know where your rival is at all times if you can’t do anything with that knowledge, and in cards like Closed Accounts (Core Set, 84) and Psychographics (Core Set, 85), NBN gained some powerful tools to take advantage of tagged opponents. Additionally, NBN players quickly learned that they could earn some striking victories with just a little outsourcing – to take advantage of Weyland Consortium’s Scorched Earth (Core Set, 99) policies.
Now, as the Genesis Cycle introduces new cards and strategies, it continues to develop each faction’s core personality, and Trace Amount gives NBN more ways to keep tabs on the Runner. Two new cards allow NBN to throw out tags like candy. Big Brother (Trace Amount, 35) can bury a Runner who’s already tagged, and ChiLo City Grid (Trace Amount, 36) doubles the effectiveness of all ice that run traces, adding tags in addition to each successful trace’s normal effects.
Trace. Tag. Win.
