In-house food is being arranged too; all in all, it looks set to be a rather good regular venue Monthly Sunday Gaming at the Talbot Inn By Sally Following our successful pilot day in November there will be monthly Sunday gaming at the Talbot Inn, Anglesey Road, Burton. January's event is on Sunday the 27th, we may move the regular weekend to earlier in the month to avoid clashing with Raiders of the Games Cupboard and Birmingham Expo. 12 noon 'til 11pm, board games, card games and wargames, tea, coffee and snacks available as well as good beer. I assume so, but thought I should check bearing in mind the stress levels likely from having moved shop, as well as the close proximity to B&P the following weekend... This is mainly due to numbers and that the venue lighting is not as good as it could be, the Tea/Coffee and food option have become non-existent and the shop is just better suited all round. So from the next event 14th July 2013 this will be held at Spirit Games (http://www.spiritgames.co.uk): 102 High Street, Burton on Trent, DE14 1LJ See you all there.... Title: Re: Monthly Gaming @ Spirit Games Post by: EvilGinger on 16 June 2013, 21:12:18 I will definitely be there the beer will be better as well.

It is however a viscus game and its easy to be drawn into side issues and miss stuff that is in the end rather important(http://www.spiritgames.co.uk/image/comgames/7705.jpg) Played trains which is very much a train based version of Dominion with the added tactical element you actually having to build stuff on a board - which I also lost horribly & need far more practice on. (http://www.spiritgames.co.uk/image/comgames/7026.jpg) Played X-wing which I won and also should play a lot more often as its been a year nearly since my ships saw action. I cant remember what else I played however I had a great deal of fun in some good company. >:DGinger Title: Re: Monthly Gaming @ Spirit Games Post by: Spirit Games on 12 December 2013, 13:56:53 Monthly Gaming Now at the Shop 2nd Sunday of every month

If your a fire fly fan get a copy and honestly wallow in it as much as play it. I also played 7 Wonders, Tsuro twice & had and Power Grid in which for a change I did quite well even if I did lose and I did only get home just before midnight I hope every one else had at least half as much fun >:DGinger Title: Re: Monthly Gaming @ Spirit Games Post by: EvilGinger on 07 February 2014, 17:54:05 looking forward to this one as I am planing on doing a Pathfinder RPG demo for some new players
>:DGinger Title: Re: Monthly Gaming @ Spirit Games Post by: EvilGinger on 09 February 2014, 19:59:37 No pathfinder RPG Demo...
But did get a game of King of Tokyo - always fun and to try Wizards of the Coasts Dungeon Command which was a lot more fun than I had expected and nothing like I expected. I had expected a rehash of D&D minis but it was nothing of the sort, the game being a dice less system with two card decks one of creatures and one of orders, which also included spells and special abilities. Very well done with good components and some nice models pre painted with a good if basic standard which would tart up rather well in the hands of a good painter. I rather want a set or two myself and will certainly be singing its virtues in the shop at every opportunity. >:DGinger Title: Re: Monthly Gaming @ Spirit Games Post by: Spirit Games on 27 February 2014, 19:18:43 Monthly Gaming at the Shop 2nd Sunday of every month
