Title: FFG:Testament to the Power of Chaos Post by: RSSFeeder on 10 November 2012, 00:30:03 Testament to the Power of Chaos
Inducting Another Worlds-Bound 2012 Champion to the Hall of Heroes The people of the Old World live in constant fear of Chaos. To them it is an evil eating away at their society and creating armies on their borders; a destructive force subservient only to bizarre and cruel Dark Gods. In recent weeks, we’ve inducted two 2012 champions of Warhammer: Invasion The Card Game to the Hall of Heroes. North American Champion Adam Daulton and Polish National Champion Michal Miszczuk both vanquished their foes with the power of Chaos. Today, we’re pleased to induct another 2012 champion of Warhammer: Invasion. Like the previous inductees, German National Champion Chris Ehmann drew upon the power of Chaos to vanquish his foes during the German National Championship Tournament at Essen, and like them, he is also headed to Roseville, MN this weekend to vie for dominion of the Old World during the 2012 Warhammer: Invasion The Card Game World Championship Tournament! Chris Ehmann Chris Ehmann began playing Warhammer: Invasion during the days of The Corruption Cycle but took an extended break before returning, more seriously, during The Bloodquest Cycle. After three months of competitive play and steady improvement through a series of qualifiers, Chris defeated his playgroup partner, Thomas Scheer, in the final match of the 2012 Warhammer: Invasion The Card Game German National Championship.
Chris’ victory at the German National Championship earned him the right to represent his country at the inaugural FFG World Championship Weekend in Roseville, MN. However, Chris wasn’t the only one to walk away from the tournament with plans to head to the FFG World Championship Weekend; he was sworn to help his playgroup partner, Thomas Scheer attend: “After I qualified in Wuerzburg, we made a pact that if one of us won the German National Championship, we would both fly to Worlds, the winner paying half the other’s cost. We didn’t really think that this would actually happen!” You can learn more about Chris at his place of honor on FFG’s website. Battles Without Borders
Part of the reason we moved our World Championship Tournaments to the FFG World Championship Weekend was to increase our international representation, and Chris will compete among a field of players from Germany, Poland, Spain, and North America. This year, the battle for the Old World will be fought by players from all over our world! Join us at the FFG World Championship Weekend to stake your claim for the Old World, or if you’re unable to attend, keep your eyes peeled for streaming coverage of the weekend’s World Championship Torunaments. ...Source: Testament to the Power of Chaos (http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/edge_news.asp?eidn=3723) |
