Title: Warmachine / Hordes News/Updates Post by: jasksta on 17 August 2012, 20:53:48 Insider 8-13-2012 - Jason Martin
(http://privateerpress.com/files/imagecache/1up/WebblogMartin_6.png) Con season is always busy around Privateer Press Headquarters. This year is especially crazy because of the truly awesome Gen Con we are planning. This week, Privateer Press will have several staffers on hand at Gen Con, and we have a ton of exciting things planned for attendees. To kick off Gen Con, Privateer Press and the RAM Restaurant & Brewery have teamed up in a big way. Wednesday night, Privateer Press staff will be on hand for a tap party to release the Woldwrath Omnipotent Ale. The Ram will also be selling t-shirts, mugs, and growlers depicting art for our new convention exclusive mini, the Druid Gone Wilder! The Druid Gone Wilder mini and last year’s Privateer Press Ram art, the Bombardier Bombshell (now in miniature form), will both be available for purchase at the Privateer Press booth at Gen Con. In addition to our increased partnership with the RAM, we will have a new booth to show off! Privateer Press will have twice as much space as we had last year. We needed all that space because we have two new board games to demo. Heap demos and Level 7 [ESCAPE] demos will be available in the booth during show hours in addition to our staple demos of WARMACHINE, HORDES, and Infernal Contraption, 2nd edition. Level 7 [ESCAPE] and the Iron Kingdoms Full Metal Fantasy Roleplaying Game Core Rules will also be available for sale for the first time at Gen Con this year! WARMACHINE and HORDES will be rocking in the event area twenty-four hours a day from show open to till show close, so if you haven’t signed up for a tournament or open play in Iron Arena, there are still spots available. In Iron Arena you earn skulls just for playing our games and you turn those skulls in for prizes. You can earn art prints, extreme sculpts, dice, and much more! Speaking of WARMACHINE and HORDES, we will have new releases and prereleases for sale at the booth. Cryxian epic warcaster Asphyxious the Hellbringer & Vociferon, the Gatormen Witch Doctor, the Skorne Cyclops Brute (plastic), and the Legion Naga Nightlurker are new releases for August and will be available for sale. For prereleases, we will have the Cryx Kraken colossal, the Cygnar Avenger/Centurion/Hammersmith Heavy Kit, the Trollblood Mountain King gargantuan, the Khador Demolisher/Devastator/Spriggan Heavy Kit, the Circle Orboros Woldwrath gargantuan, the Retribution of Scyrah Hyperion colossal, and finally the Mercenary warcaster General Ossrum. Also, let’s not forget the Druid Gone Wilder and Bombardier Bombshell con exclusive releases! Add all this to the tons of stuff I didn’t even cover, and we are expecting a very busy and exciting show. I hope to see all of you there at our booth #623, 719, 725! (http://privateerpress.com/files/imagecache/product_image/products/71067_PyreTrollWEB.jpg) The fearsome pyre trolls are able to belch gouts of combustible liquid that ignites in the air, sticks to flesh, and burns at hellish temperatures. After softening foes with blazing spittle, pyre trolls use their thick claws to tear apart their sizzling victims. Even their skin exudes heat, the air around them smoldering with ripples that warn of the inferno to come.
