or is that too evil even for me Title: Wednesday Night Playlist Post by: EvilGinger on 05 September 2008, 20:01:13 add Tomb as I would like to give it a play test, acquit would be another on to play test.
Title: Wednesday Night Playlist Post by: whitefire on 06 September 2008, 20:45:20 I picked up a game today in SG - call me an old sucker but I love dungeon crawl games - so I picked up one called TOMB which is a new game (August 08). I have skimmed the rules and it looks intriguing and pretty well constructed. The pieces are good quality and it will pass the time admirably. It says it is for 2 - 6 players - although Boardgamegeek reviews (not many yet as it is still a new game) says it is probably best for 3 or 4 players, otherwise there is too much downtime for players. Apparently it plays in around an hour (say an hour an a half with learning rules etc..
Anyone interested in a go at it on Wednesday next week? Or tomorrow? or tonight?? I'd also like a go at "Horrorclix" on Wednesday - I think I might have tracked down a starter set off the iweb.... (Phil doesn't have any!!!) Title: Wednesday Night Playlist Post by: EvilGinger on 07 September 2008, 14:17:14 you are, but I will also admit that Tomb is also one I would like to try out from the moment I saw it last week between flat hunting.

Title: Wednesday Night Playlist Post by: Zarniwoop on 09 October 2008, 18:22:31 Why does the poll say "Total Voters: 2" when there is obviously 4 votes? +:confused4=+::confused4: This poll allows each voter upto 3 votes (which they can also change at any time), so that they can pick several games they would like to play on wed night at the shop. Title: Wednesday Night Playlist Post by: pagbsc on 09 October 2008, 20:21:18 oh, I see.
Can I vote three times for Tomb ;D Title: Wednesday Night Playlist Post by: whitefire on 10 October 2008, 02:47:33 The problem with a list this long is that even if 10 people vte most games will only get one or two votes each anyway!
Title: Wednesday Night Playlist Post by: CrazyFrog on 10 October 2008, 09:17:17 The other problem is, on the night the number of players is fluid and therefore voted game cannot be played.
Its a guide to suggesting the game to be played, so people dont need to bring the library with them, only just a couple of games. It was also to try and make the game selection process a little quicker instead of the 30mins of headbanging that we sometimes have. Title: Wednesday Night Playlist Post by: pagbsc on 10 October 2008, 12:01:15 Wooohooooo Tomb next Wednesday and permission from the wife. See you at Spirit games ;D

I haven't had the chance to have a good look through yet but it is basically Lost Cities with a few extra gubbins, it's also a quick one (under an hour with 4 apparently). So, anyone fancy giving it a go on the 14th? Don't all rush at once now ;). Title: Wednesday Night Playlist Post by: EvilGinger on 08 January 2009, 17:24:24 I wouldent mind playing as I am always up for playing something I have never heard of or played before. Title: Wednesday Night Playlist Post by: carldjcross on 08 January 2009, 20:21:11 Great! ;D We can at least have a quick two player go! I'll bring it next game night.

Title: Wednesday Night Playlist Post by: CrazyFrog on 30 January 2009, 16:27:31 Played Powerboats finally after seeing it played in the shop. Its a great fun game, trying to work out where your boat is heading and how much 'POWER' you need to get it. We played 2 rounds with Oscar and Zarni? winning each round. The Tempest was played. I liked the strategy behind the game and ended up winning it with a last round of war mongering. Only downside to the evening was the 1am finish, I really need to adjust the games I play on the evening so I can finish earlier. Played Red November great little game even if we did lose at the last instant the reactor went critical and we all fried but suffocation & or being crushed by the depth where close on its heals. We did deal promptly with all the big nasty's and up to the last 10mins of game time it looked and felt like a certain victory. Galaxy trucker was also played in the back room and Richard and Pete played a quick game of Agricola as a warm up & I bunked off from my Role playing duties for the night. what else happened is any ones guess as I staggered off at 10pm because of my early morning start. I have no clue how to change this beyond shaking Frog and seeing what his new plan is ;) >:DGinger Title: Wednesday Night Playlist Post by: CrazyFrog on 20 April 2009, 13:54:21 Opting for Blue Moon City this week. Title: Wednesday Night Playlist Post by: EvilGinger on 20 April 2009, 14:23:18 voted though I would also happily play Rotas and Domoinion
>:DGinger Title: Wednesday Night Playlist Post by: CrazyFrog on 28 April 2009, 19:39:02 I've left the voting open this time, so if people wish to change there votes weekly they can use the 'remove vote' option.
I think though there's only one game to play and that Pandemic ;) Galaxy Trucker possible if starting earlier, I'm aiming for the 10 / 10:30 exit or I become a pumpkin :P Title: Wednesday Night Playlist Post by: carldjcross on 28 April 2009, 23:46:30 Oh yes, let's play Pandemic. While we still can. Anyone else not at all reassured by the government's claims to be on top of things?
I'm with you on the 10:30 exit though after stumbling out of the shop bleary eyed at 12:45 last week! The day after was not fun. Mind you I do have Thursday off this week... Title: Wednesday Night Playlist Post by: EvilGinger on 29 April 2009, 05:00:40 Galaxy Trucker possible if starting earlier, I'm aiming for the 10 / 10:30 exit or I become a pumpkin :P are you sure that's not happened already spake a particularly evilginger through a cloud of paint fumes and feeling woozy from drooping caffeine levels, I fear there might actually be blood circulating again. >:DGinger Title: Wednesday Night Playlist Post by: CrazyFrog on 06 May 2009, 11:46:54 Kingsburg for 5 players I think was the preferred option.
Could you bring magblast as backup please. Title: Wednesday Night Playlist Post by: CrazyFrog on 07 May 2009, 15:22:29 Poll has been amended and some new games added ;D
Title: Re: Wednesday Night Playlist Post by: Zarniwoop on 18 August 2010, 00:39:12 Poll removed as we all have far too many games to list for choice.
So if we want to revive using this then I suggest we just drop a note of what we plan to bring (if anything) or ask for something you want to play and we'll go from there. Otherwise is people feel this is no longer required I'll remove the thread as "dead"... Cheers.. Title: Re: Wednesday Night Playlist Post by: EvilGinger on 18 August 2010, 05:31:44 I think its dead as we never seemed to play the game if any that won the poll or avoid the ritual of choosing which game to play.
it was however a good plan which sadly went the way of all froggy originated plans >:DGinger |
