Company members:- Taran – Half Elf Fighter/Priest of Mannanan Mac Lir, cousin to Carinne and Galvish Carinne Rhianne Talynnart – Half Elf Ranger/Mage, Cousin to Taran and Galvish Krachtig – A Quiet Gnome Galvish – Half Elf Fighter/Thief, Cousin to Taran and Carinne Barrigan Stonebeak – Dwarf Fighter/Priest, Company Engineer. Lanneus Tuard – Paladin of Manannan Mac Lir A Bad Dream Having successfully delivered the body of the Governor to the Chief Justice on the mainland we regroup at the keep and plan our next steps. Prince Thrommel has dispatched troops to keep the peace and enlisted the rebels to help, we are also contacted to lend our support which we do. Lord Arlos from Jans Landing also supports these efforts. We hear that several high ranking officials of the Governor have fled to Lomboko, the slavers city. We plan on attacking the place and wipe out the cancer that is slavery, Krachtig keeping strangely quiet throughout these discussions. The use of a Tsunami might be a fitting end for this port of misery. That night we have a dream that the Lich has broken free of the control of El Rahid (see episode 48). The next morning while not trying to make eye contact with other members of the party realizes we all had the same dream and that the **** is well and truly about to hit the whirlwind. Our plans change and we travel to the tomb of El Rahid, a small group of undead part ways inside the tomb to form a path to their Liege. El Rahid confirms the dream and says this will be distinctly troubling as the Lich will be able to raise an undead army fairly easily. One crumb of hope will be if we can gain a Splinter of the Sun, an artifact that will destroy lesser undead, but not harm the lich or the very powerful beings, in a one mile radius. The Splinter of the Sun was last known to reside across the other side of the world in the keep of an ancient king. We make the journey and arrive at an oasis in the desert which is the nearest habitable village before the Valley of the Kings, where the artifact is likely to be. We meet up with a priest of Thoth who gives us some description of the area and for a large donation of magic scrolls and gold narrows the area to search to about eight tombs. Taran purchases a lovely gold camel to take back to his betrothed as they were out of large sombreros and straw donkeys. The six intrepid adventurers march forth into the desert and start searching for the elusive tomb, it is in the second day of searching that they disturb a massive Purple Worm which tries to swallow Taran and poison Krachtig but they quickly kill off the large beast before any harm befalls them. Soon after and swarm of giant beetles attack the group, the downside of the this encounter is seeing Barrigan impaled on the horn of one of the creatures, fatally wounding him, we restore his life back to him and continue our search.
