This Saturday has been earmarked as England’s first ever Civic Day (http://www.civicvoice.org.uk/campaigns/civic-day/), with societies across the country putting on displays to celebrate history and heritage in the area. The Burton Civic Society (http://www.burtoncivicsociety.org/) is getting involved with the project, organised by national civic charity Civic Voice (http://www.civicvoice.org.uk), by displaying its archives at Burton Library (http://www.burton.lib.oh.us/), off High Street. |
