Title: Figures for the Deathwatch game
Post by: EvilGinger on 10 June 2011, 22:32:23
http://www.bigbangburgerbar.co.uk/Forum/index.php?topic=1685.0 for more details

I intend to wargame parts of the Deathwatch game & to this end we are having a figure sorting session in the near future so we can make the players figures up for this & are parts swapping from boxes of space marines & our bits boxes.

at present we have the following

A Storm Wardens Techmarine    -Marty
A Dark Angels Tactical Marine    - Me
A Space wolves  Tactical marine -Sandy
A Storm Wardens Devastator Marine - Eric
A Black Templar Assault marine - Jeremy

I expect to add to this as it develops & I will be able to post some pictures as of tomorrow when I get the necessary cable for my phone as I have a Darkangels marine I have donated a pack of Darkangels veterans  to the mix. All the stuff will be done form plastics so building a techmarine may be a challenge.

I am now working on the ENEMY & a figure for Walrus's Mad Zealot Assault Marine as well as a Devastator & a tech marine which is proving a bit of a challenge all in plastic & I am having to kit bash a bit.

I am still needing to get a method of putting pictures up here but watch this space if I remember  ::) I will sort that later in the morning

I've just gone searching for some shoulder pads and other bits.
I'm trying to pick up-

BT Shoulder Pad
BT back pack
Heavy Bolter
Whits Scars Shoulder Pad x 2

Let me know how you get on with the assembly and I'll drop off any useful parts I pick up.

all of which sound useful a trip to GW to order more of the ENAMY also turned up two plastic Black templar arms with chained on bolt pistol & chain sword & a Black templar torso with tabard. I will likely just give in & buy some more marine stuff when I go in to collect the last of the enemy. I dont have any templar shoulder pads & I am still after a heavy bolter.

Just got hold of a heavy bolter, a jump pack, a BT back pack & shoulder pads.

The Black Templar assault marine can be modeled with either the standard back pack or the jump pack.

No luck with the white scar pads to represent the storm wardens yet.

I'll let you know if I get hold of some.

Very Cool thanks PUG, I was going to do the Assault marine with the jump pack on but multiple versions of the same character are also rather cool I think that the Devastator will end up with them as when he sorts out his signature weapon we will need one for that.

The Enamy are also proceeding nicely though I am beginning to worry we haven't taken enough ammunition.

heard a lot about this company mostly from a nameless GW employee bemoaning alleged IP infringements & finally tracked them down

a quick look suggests that they are a good source of bits an d peices

Still not done for Thursday as I keep mislaying the Stuff Pug Donated but I did find my half box of Plastic devastator marines so I have a part done devastator & Techmarine but need to find the bits else our poor Assault marine will be a pair of legs on a base  :(.

I do have plenty of the enemy though quite possibly more than I will ever need.

EvilG,

I have some plastic and lead figures and bits and pieces for the Warhammer 40K genre.  I bought a bunch of second hand figures and these were with them.  If I have room in a suitcase are you interested?  I might even have a picture somewhere if I dig deep enough.

Thank you Slug, I am sure I can take those off your hands though I am not promising not to sic them all on my players all at once & there is no telling what it is that ate the Death Whispers just that basic life scans dont recognise it as life even if it definably moves

Still looking for the first lot missing Death Watch bits but I am sure they are round the office some where & it need more tidying as the inroads made so far mealy indicate more stuff that needs to be done in that line. I have a half built Black Templar Marine without jump pack so I have faith in Dravidus lasting long enough to need a second figure.

The enemy are approaching completion & I am working on what to do about scenery for the battle in the command centre, this is becoming quite a fun project as well as a fun game.
