Part one I (scenario) Post by: EvilGinger on 05 June 2011, 07:08:34 Scenario
This is a Variation of the Patrol encounter from Troops weapons & Tactics Page 104 Each side consists of a platoon of infantry without support elements tasked with finding out information in a bombed out village in Normandy. Lay out The area of action is split into two by a canal which runs more or less straight across the length of the board. around it are fields & in the centre of the area the village this is fairly intact on the German side of the Canal but increasingly damaged as the canal is approached & on the British side of the canal where the place was heavily bombed yesterday evening when the RAF spotted a number of tanks here. The canal is crossed by a substantial stone foot bridge in the centre of the village which may or not be intact. Objectives For Both sides Determine the fate of the armour Drive off any enemy forces encountered Ascertain the state of the bridge as whilst its only a foot bridge it does bypass an obstacle which the Germans are using in the defence of Calais & which ironically also impedes German local counter attacks. I plan a larger follow up game to this as I did to Storming the Hun & as with Storming the Hun I the playing time should be 40-60 minutes. >:DGinger Title: Re: The Hedge's the Hedges! Part one I (German forces) Post by: EvilGinger on 05 June 2011, 16:56:34 German Forces
2nd Panzer grenadier Zug II a 1st company (dismounted) Platoon Command Fieldwebel Heinrich Weiss (status III) Two submachine gunners Three riflemen Note Weiss is the platoons second in command & as it’s a patrol one of the three riflemen carries a radio, the commander is at present unavailable due to leave. Groupe A Gefreiter Albert Zimmer (status III) First fire team MG42 Gunner & assistant Two riflemen Submachine gunner Second fire team MG42 Gunner & assistant Three riflemen Groupe B Gefreiter Wilhelm Holtz (status II) First fire team MG42 Gunner & assistant Two riflemen Submachine gunner Second fire team MG42 Gunner & assistant Three riflemen Groupe C Gefreiter Ernst Lutz (status II) First fire team MG42 Gunner & assistant Two riflemen Submachine gunner Second fire team MG42 Gunner & assistant Three riflemen The Groupe each include the driver of the Groupe's Half-track which has been left behind owing to the threat of allied air power & no Panzerfausts have been drawn form supply as they are not about to get into a fight with allied armour which there shouldn't be any of any way as there is no viable crossing for tanks here. If their are its time to bug out & report back not fight. British forces to follow >:DGinger Title: Re: The Hedge's the Hedges! Part one I Post by: EvilGinger on 20 November 2011, 19:32:13 An Update
I am finally getting round to finishing off the figures & terrain for this and plan to run it in the new year I have pencilled in the end of January but not yet fixed a date. I feel I am getting my act together in sum respects though I am probably sadly deluded. >:DGinger |
