Having through probable, direct intervention of the Small God Which protects Idiots & children, Constable Laura managed to kick the Vampires NEST & get away with it more or less Scot free. However now her obsession with shiny stuff which would shame a magpie & make a halfling rogue blush, has got every one sent to what looks a lot like the empty quarter of the sahara desert with only the clothes they stood up in & no water except for a  half full bottle of elderly warm Evian water in Fran's coat pocket.....

Where are they & how do they live long enough to find out how they got there & how to get home......

The shadows lengthened over the deep desert as Silver Lover of the Lightning lay flat on her belly. Hidden behind the crest of  the long scalding hot dune and watched  the  outlanders come with their slaves soldiers, and an escort of her former countryman. Soon the time to strike would come and she would lead her warriors upon them but it was not quite yet  for she felt that something else must happen first something terrible strange, utterly portentous and unprecedented.

In the column below Gelmuxi Yofahu plodded at the head of his troops enjoying the desert heat as his man & they where all man all pitiful fifty of them trudged & sweated in their heavy armoured coats and behind the menagerie of hunters servants slaves & local troops followed on he would have to call a halt soon he new but he was hoping for a while longer before his local guide advised him it was a good place to camp.

The shadows lengthened further and turned to night as Silver Lover of the Lightning watched this time on the form of a nocturnal deep desert Jerdt as the outlanders made their camp setting up bright pavilions of silk which billowed in the sunset breeze. Which Breeze also carried the alien smells of their cooking and the sounds of their foreign revels from behind their meagre guard. Silver lover of the Lightning would teach them to invade her lands but not yet but soon the change was coming & when it came she would unleash her desert warriors......

In the camp Mennemon Jaxut wandered away from the revels that was not what he had come into the deep desert of the south lands to do he could have stayed at home and had that sport he came to hunt as the others said they did but he was not going to be hunting beasts however fierce he would be hunting anathema.....

The three of them lay stunned for a moment or so it seemed to Fran on the hot desert sand under a darkening but cloudless sky. As she lay there she felt the essence flows in the world around her like Heaven but yet not & much more vibrant & became very afraid......

Why is Fran afraid?, What have the sections of story I have been writing got to do with it if any thing?

This and other questions may be answered during the next session, likely with more questions but an unwanted answer is still an answer.
