Title: Cthulhu By Gaslight - Up The Buffs!!! Post by: PM on 23 March 2017, 13:49:06 Part One
Uncle Alan has to go to another funeral of a pal from the East Kent Regiment (The Buffs) Buffs are dying on a regular basis. Something happened in Egypt? We all enjoy the delights of following people who are following people. Why is it always foggy in Victorian London? Major Gower manages to impale himself on some railings whilst Marcus runs off into the fog and claims he can't remember what happened. Not the first time his memories of a night out in London are vague! Title: Re: Cthulhu By Gaslight - Up The Buffs!!! Post by: PM on 23 March 2017, 14:05:29 Part Two
Marcus gets mesmerised and remembers "Teeth" More following the followers. To a house in Islington. We entered the house. Marcus runs away again! From a cupboard. Thomas runs away from a coal cellar. The Colonel won't help but his wife is very obliging to Alice. We find an Egyptologist who is nervous. We don't find an Egyptian. A short time later the boffin calls for help. We arrive to save him, Thomas runs away again! We read some scrolls and a voice in our heads says "+1 Cthulhu Mythos" Running away seems to be some sort of fitness craze! The Professor stays up late to read some old nonsense. The rest track down an Egyptian academic to the Waldorf Hotel to see what he knows. Marcus sees the dog/man again and Tommy is killed outside the Army & Navy Club. Mounir Faez is very helpful and offers to get more info from Cairo. He is well dressed and has a slight cold so he can't be a cultist can he? Unfortunately we tell him where the old nonsense is being stored and the Professor's butler is brutally murdered. It's going to be hard to find another good butler, and get the blood stains out of the carpet. Everyone, good and bad, ends up in Hampstead that night. Screams, zombies, shooting, fire, dog/man won't die, then he does, relief all round then the mummy escapes it's coffin! Running away and fighting. Cautious relief again and finding the missing cowering in the shrubbery. Egyptian Outrage in Hampstead Last night at Kandahar House, home of Colonel Hollingsworth (ret), PC James Smith was brutally murdered as a group of Egyptian nationals tried to storm the property with the apparent aim of killing the whole household. Inspector Craddock of Scotland Yard said "I attended Kandahar House on information received in an attempt to thwart the actions of a group of ruthless murders who had made threats to Colonel Hollingsworth and his family. During the subsequent fighting unfortunately a member of her majesties constabulary lost his life whilst protecting the household." The reason for the attack appears to be link to a series of deaths previously reported by this newspaper. All were members of the East Kent Regiment (The Buffs) who had served in Egypt during the Sudan Crisis. Other details are sparse at the moment but the Egyptian Ambassador has been summoned to the palace and several members of the embassy as well as some prominent Egyptian academics studying in London are expected to be sent home. |
