It's starting to really irk me that software installers for reputable companies are now acting like spammers and malware authors. If I want to install the damn Bing/ask/google search bar or tools I'll go to those sites specifically. I don't want an.other third party pre-selecting to install other frigging third party software that I have to actively de-select.

If you want to get more users using your stuff market it better or add features that make it worthwhile don't p**s people off by tacking it onto other software.

I think it's safe to say if the question involves "Do you want to install" and "toolbar", they really should already know the answer. Who the hell uses toolbars in this day and age, anyway?

I too find this sort of unwanted extra irksome & to be honest I don't know why they persist with it as I think its more likely to put folks off than draw in additional users and extra income.

I agree. A great topic to have a  Cussing at.

I know they claim it's for revenue for the software to be free.
But it's a real pain when software upgrades and then installs this junk in background so after u waste 10 mins uninstalling the toolbar from your browse and resetting the home pages  Cussing

Why can't u lock the home page so it's impossible to change it. Depends on browser and OS policy I'm guessing.
