Star Trek did not run sadly, due to a lack of players  but  a good night was had after all by those did make it we raided the Games Library &  played

King of Tokyo
Divinare
Braggart
Roll through the ages

of these I had never played Divinare & found it to be fun but a bit brain melting the first run through though I think now I understand them the mechanics are simple enough just quite a bit different & unfamiliar at first.

The Deus Vault group where in the wargames room so I did not see what when on there save it was quite bloody during the demonstration of Ruequest style combat.

Runequest kicked off with a playtest of the deeply involved combat system. Each player received a pre-generated character and took on the role of reluctant church conscripts who have found themselves alone in Hell. Spying a hellish convoy from our hidey-holes at the base of an onyx tower, we decide to try and free some human prisoners from their maggot-cage.

We begin attacking the convoy with some well placed arrows and smoke bombs and proceed to kill many demons and scorpion-women on the way. Combat was complex at first, but became more familiar as we got used to the actions and tables available to us. I must say i reluctantly enjoyed the myriad of rolls people had to make in this combat complex system as criticals were rolled many times.
