Fall of Berlin: Folio Game Series No. 8 (Ziplock)

Starting on 12 January 1945, the Red Army reached the German front as a result of the Vistula-Oder Offensive and advanced westward as much as 40 kilometers (25 miles) a day through East Prussia, Lower Silesia, East Pomerania, and Upper Silesia, temporarily halting on a line 60km (37 miles) east of Berlin along the Oder River. When the offensive resumed, two Soviet fronts (army groups) attacked Berlin from the east and south, while a third overran German forces positioned north of Berin. 1:72 Scale Plastic Model Plane.The Hurricane was developed as a replacement for the RAFs pre-war bi-plane fighters, such as the Hawker Fury and Gloster Gauntlet. Considered revolutionary when it was unveiled in 1935, by the start of WWII the earliest versions with fabric covered wings and two bladed propellers had fallen behind the performance of the best German fighters.Nevertheless, once fitted with 3-blade propellers these early Hurricanes were very successful during the Battle of Britain in 1940.

Kit: Hawker Siddeley AV-8A Harrier

1:72 plastic model.The Harrier had been designed from the beginning to attract export sales. The first of these was the US Marine Corps who began to take an interest around 1969 when the jet was first introduced into the RAF service. Hawker Siddeley made some modifications to the aircraft and in 1971 the AV-8A Harrier entered service with the USMC as a close support aircraft.Operating from amphibious assault ships the Harrier's role was to augment that of the larger US Navy warplanes by providing troops on the battle field with close air support at a moments notice in a similar way to that provided by helicopters but with heavier weapons.Later, starting in 1979, the AV-8As were upgraded to AV-8C specification. by this time their effectiveness had been proven in many practice exercises and their superb manoeuvrability demonstrated in mock dog-fights with F4 Phantom fighters. Today the Marine Corps continues to operate the AV-8B Harrier II.

1:72 scale plastic kit.The prototype Bf109a first flew in 1935. The later E model was more powerful and better armed and by the summer of 1940, over 500 were in service for the offensive against Great Britain.  By this time, the 109E had already proved to be a competent, if not the world's best, fighter aircraft in the skies above Poland, France and the low countries.  It met its match over England where it was shown to be inferior to the RAF's Spitfire.

Kit: Gloster Gladiator Mk I

1:72 Scale plastic model.The Gloster Gladiator occupies an important place within the history of the RAF.  The last of the RAF's biplane fighters, the Gladiator had some modern features, such as an enclosed cockpit, a first for an RAF fighter, as well as an armament of four machine guns.  Still in service at the outbreak of the war, the Gladiator proved to be a capable biplane fighter, but was outclassed against modern monoplane opposition.  The mount of some the RAF's most famous pilots, such as Pat Pattle and Roald Dahl, preserved Gladiators can still be seen flying today at Duxford and Old Warden air displays.

Agricola Reworked Edition

Players start the game with two family members, living in a two-room wooden house. In each round, each member of their family may choose one action.If they collect wood and reed, they can extend their house and then add to their family.Family growth allows additional actions, but has the disadvantage that more food must be produced.And to get food, the player plough fields and plant seeds.The planted grain and vegetables are harvested during the harvest, when animals breed as well. To raise animals, pastures must be fenced to allow sheep, wild boar and cattle to graze.Occupations or improvements can ensure a family's upkeep. Each of these cards allows the player a small advantage in the game.Points are earned when players renovate their wooden house to a clay house and later even to a stone house.
