Slavika: Equinox

Slavika Equinox is both a standalone game and an expansion to the game Slavika. Players lead powerful families in the fantastic world of Slavika or, - if they want - the new faction: Christians. Each player will have a team of 6 heroes. During the game, the heroes will travel to different regions, fight monsters and gain treasures. The larger the contribution of a player's heroes in defeating monsters, the more glory points for the player's family. The Pomeranian Regions are ruled by the eternal cycle of light and darkness, day and night, summer and winter. As time passes, depending on the current phase of the cycle, monsters will be weaker or stronger. According to the will of the princess of Slavika, the player whose family has the most glory at the end of the game earns the right to govern the Pomeranian Regions!

Twin Peaks: The Battles of South Mountain and Cedar Mountain

Twin Peaks is Volume VI in the Great Battles of the American Civil War series. Two full battles and included:Cedar Mountain - August 9th, 1862. With the Peninsular Campaign winding down, Gen. Robert E. Lee sent Maj. Gens. Stonewall Jackson and A.P. Hill to attack Maj. Gen. John Pope's New Federal Army of Virginia with 27,000 troops. Gen. John Pope, hoping to draw attention away from Maj. Gen. George McClellan's withdrawal from the Peninsular, moved against the rail junction at Gordonsville, Va. Stonewall Jackson found USA Maj. Gen. Nathaniel Banks' forces on high ground near Cedar Run, seven miles south of the town of Culpeper. These two forces met in the afternoon heat.South Mountain - September 14th, 1862. After the CSA success at Second Bull Run Gen. Robert E. Lee believed the demoralised USA armies could not respond to any bold action. Thusly, he planned a campaign to raid Maryland and Pennsylvania and to threaten Washington D.C. itself. Once again Lee confidently divided his army to both move north and neutralise the large Union garrison at Harper's Ferry. However, the Union Army under Gen. George B. McClellan was quick to recover from the Bull Run defeat and was already in pursuit of Lee. The gods of war smiled on the Union troops as a copy of Lee's orders fell into Union hands. An attack through the lightly held gaps at South Mountain would cut Lee's army in two and perhaps end the war. At 6:00am the Union Army moved. The Great Battles of the American Civil War Series:This series is one of the hobby's longest lived design concepts, springing from the legendary regimental level Gettysburg game - Terrible Swift Sword (SPI) - designed by Richard Berg in 1976. The rules system has remained stable but has shown remarkable flexibility to allow each game to smoothly incorporate additional rules to reflect the historical battles.  This series relies on interactive chit-pull mechanics to simulate the oftentimes chaotic nature of the 19th Century battlefield at the regimental level. The Game:Twin Peaks contains two battle games, each with its own full-sized map. Experienced players will be able to play either in one sitting. Both battles highlight the effects of fatigue from the late summer heat and the difficult terrain. The optional fatigue rules are mandatory in both battles. The Cedar Mountain battle also includes optional units which could have joined the battle.

Bitter Woods: The Battle of the Bulge - Designer's Edition

On December 16th 1944, Germany launched its last desperate offensive in the West. The result was the Battle of the Bulge, a brutal struggle in a dismal winter landscape, set against an enemy imbued with a fanatical conviction that victory could be snatched from defeat. It was the United States Army's greatest and fiercest battle of World War II. Over a million men and thousands of guns, tanks, and other fighting vehicles were engaged. In those "bitter woods", fighting against heavy odds, the American soldiers slowed and stopped the spearhead of two elite Panzer Armies, forever emblazoning themselves in the annals of military history.Compass Games presents the Designer Edition of this Charles S. Roberts and ORIGINS award nominee. New to this edition are enlarged, colour unit counters, additional scenarios, and an extended campaign game to allow the Allied counterattack to be fully realised. In addition to the 6 and 8 turn tournament games, Patton's famous relief of Bastogne can be recreated via scenario play. Specific rules include: Mechanised Exploitation Movement, Hidden Fuel Dumps, Leader Units, Reserves, Random Events, Bridge Demolition, Kampfgruppe Peiper Breakout, Skorzeny Infiltration, Air Power, and Artillery Support.Bitter Woods: Designer Edition is the premier edition of this highly acclaimed regimental-level Battle of the Bulge game. The potential for mechanised exploitation movement and an appropriate Allied counterattack capability ensure an exciting challenge for both sides. Bitter Woods: Designer Edition is highly playable, yet historically accurate, further ensuring a game you will want to revisit for years to come.

Enemy Coast Ahead: The Dambuster Raid, 1943

ENEMY COAST AHEADThe cypher message reads: "MOST SECRET: Operation Chastise [stop] Immediate attack of targets X,Y,Z approved [stop] Execute at first suitable opportunity [stop]"It is May 16, 1943 and 617 Squadron is about to fly its first mission - to crack open the mighty dams in the heart of Germany. Nineteen British Lancaster bombers specially modified to carry a most unusual ordnance sortie at dusk and fly at low altitude across the North Sea. Some hit the crest of waves and dunes, others clip the tops of trees and utility pylons. Desperate to stymie the Luftwaffe's radar system guiding its fleet of Nightfighters patrolling the skies, bomber crews maintain that precarious altitude across Germany. Negotiating a terrain of antiaircraft batteries, barrage balloons and dreaded searchlight arrays, and contending with feathered engines and other mechanical malfunctions, most of the squadron arrive at the dams in the dead of night. One by one the Lancasters skim across the reservoirs towards their targets, releasing the mine at a precise altitude, speed, angle of approach and distance. Four dams were attacked that night and two were breached. By dawn, eleven of the nineteen bombers would touch back down at Scampton in Great Britain, and its surviving crews would earn 33 decorations, including the Victoria Cross.Enemy Coast Ahead is a solitaire game depicting that remarkable mission. It recreates the action over the reservoirs, the arduous flight to the targets, and the preparation and training for this special raid. Ten scenarios allow you to explore every aspect of the action, from the tactical predicament at each target to the problem of organising a squadron from scratch, equipping it, commandeering top airmen and groundcrews, and training it to learn untried tactics imagined by a slide-rule wielding engineer. The game is presented in program fashion, allowing you to play the first five scenarios after reading only Part 1 of the rules. Each scenario can stand alone or be combined, and each has a unique Debriefing Chart involving you in the raid's outcome. Will Albert Speer break delicate news to the Fuhrer? Will Air Marshal Harris of Bomber Command come to know the fate of every Lancaster, or must he endure the mystery of garbled transmissions and empty chairs in the squadron's Mess Hall? Part puzzle packed with tough decisions and part reenactment, Enemy Coast Ahead can be played with two or three players either cooperatively, or competitively. Can you breach a third dam, or will you be able to breach even a single one?

Huzzah! Grand-Tactical Battles of the American Civil War

Huzzah! simulates American Civil War combat at the grand-tactical level. The system features encounters little known yet strategically significant. These are fights that, had they concluded differently, might well have transformed a campaign, a reputation, or both. So, although the battles in Huzzah! were little more than scrimmages compared to, say, Gettysburg or Stones River, they were not insignificant, bearing weight well beyond what mere numbers suggest. This game is the first instalment of what will become a series of games using the Huzzah! system. The next instalment in the series will be a quadri-game focusing entirely on the Wilderness Campaign.Scale: Combat units are infantry, Cavalry, and Artillery. Each Infantry and Cavalry unit represents 3 or more companies of a given regiment. Each Artillery unit represents and Artillery Section of 1 or two guns. Leader units represent individual commanders. Each hex equals about 150-200 yards.Stephenson's Depot was a prelude to the battle of Gettysburg. Richard Ewell enjoyed his finest day of the campaign when he smashed the isolated outpost of Robert Milroy at Winchester. This is a rock-em sock-em affair, with the Yankees throwing the first punch. The blue player must land his blows quick and hard, driving the Rebs off the railway.Rosey and the Woodpecker, the battle of Iuka, was a meeting engagement of sorts; few units begin on map and both sides receive a steady stream of reinforcements. Grant, the Yankee commander had divided his army into wings, each to simultaneously converge upon the rebels at the small railhead of Iuka.Old Burn at Newbern, the battle of Newbern, North Carolina. A promising young star of the Union, Ambrose Burnside (Old Burn to his equals) runs up against a scratch force of Confederate militia, artillery, and cavalry.Smash 'Em Up! the battle of Belmont Missouri, was U.S. Grant's first significant encounter with the Confederate Army. HE initially drove the Rebels across the Mississippi River capturing both their headquarters and Belmont, a minor ferry point to Kentucky.Components:One RulebookOne Scenario BookFour 22"x17" Full Colour Game Maps560 Double-Sided Die-Cut CountersCharts and Tables SheetsTwo Ten-Sided Dice

D-Day at Tarawa

Command the US 2nd Marine Division in "one square mile of hell"D-Day at Tarawa is a solitaire game simulating the amphibious invasion of Betio Island in the Tarawa Atoll. The US marines assaulting the tiny island, with its strategically vital airstrip, found themselves in their toughest battle of World War II, a fight to the death against 5000 Japanese defenders.D-Day at Tarawa advances the solitaire game system of its award-winning predecessor D-Day at Omaha Beach to the next level.
