The City features a supplementary game board that fits against the main Talisman board and is entered through the City space. The City is a place of both opportunity and peril, and adventurers who come to this bustling metropolis must watch their back as they look for a chance to gain some gold.
The City’s walls may keep out the beasts and brigands that roam the countryside, but civilization comes with its own dangers and rewards. The City comes with a deck of cards that feature the particular troubles and treasures that the City’s press of people can bring to an adventure.
The heartbeat of the City is its thriving economy. The flow of gold through the hands of the powerful guilds is the lifeblood of this place. A busy shopping district supports the economy that these guilds govern, and the stores that line the streets have a wide variety of stock. Weapons both metallic and magical line the walls of some shops, and others provide pets or potions. An adventurer with a bit of coin can always find what they’re looking for.
Of course, if your pockets aren’t overflowing with gold, you can always pick up a wanted poster from the City’s entrance. Taking out these targets can earn some gold from the guild leaders. All manner of threats thrive within the City walls, and you might as well make some extra coin as you battle any surprises that emerge from the alleys and avenues.
