Two to six players take on the role of one of twelve intrepid and treasure-hungry adventurers in this exciting board game (previously published by AEG) as they tackle the traps and pitfalls of a remote Mayan temple filled with valuable artifacts.
The intrepid explorers must navigate a perilous maze, maintaining their bearings as the walls themselves move to crush them. Dodge molten lava, and keep ahead of a gigantic rolling boulder; the player who escapes with the most treasure and their life wins!
Traps and Treasure in the Temple
The Temple of Chac was created by the Mayans to keep treasure in and enterprising tomb robbers out, so the ancient edifice is packed with deadly traps and difficult obstacles to discourage your efforts. The treasure-hunters will need to slip 
between the crushing walls as they grab all the statues, ceremonial masks, jewelry and other priceless artifacts that they can carry. A giant pool of lava threatens to cook the dauntless explorers even as the rapids of a river seeks to sweep them away. On top of all of these deadly challenges, a massive rolling boulder bears down on the adventurers as they scramble to escape with their riches and their lives!
Hauling all your treasure through these perils is no easy task, and The Adventurers: The Temple of Chac keeps track of your carrying capacity with the “load level” system. The amount of golden goodies that you have on hand determines just how far you can move or perform any other actions. If you’ve got a pack full of priceless artifacts, it may slow you down as you try to make your escape, and you certainly won’t have as many chances to look for more treasure or decipher glyphs. You’ll have to weigh the odds of escaping against your hunger for riches and decide when it’s best to drop some of your loot for a better chance of your character’s survival.
