Looting London is a set collection game with a nineteenth century crime solving theme for 2-5 players.

The 25 tiles included in the game are laid out in a 5 x 5 grid at the start of the game. Each tile has a different combination of stolen national treasure (a painting from the National Gallery, bullion from the bank of England, an Incan artefact from the British Museum, the Crown Jewels and rather bizarrely government secrets hidden in Big Ben) and a witness (society lady, orphan, organ grinder and policeman).

During their turn players draw a card depicting the witnesses or play a set of matching cards to claim a tile. Each tile is also printed with a number that is the number of witness cards that you must turn in to claim it meaning you will often be saving up for a valuable card hoping no-one else beats you to it.

To complicate matters tiles can only be claimed when they are at the bottom of a column, tiles can also be destroyed to confound your opponents and once the penultimate crime is solved the game ends meaning that one crime will never score.

Despite saying 30 minutes on the box many games are shorter meaning, like Incan Gold it's a good one to fit in at the beginning or the end of a gaming session.
