Tonight in the shop the echo of the clash of shield walls comes to us out of the dark ages with another photo play test AAR

Reposted from the Lardie Yahoo group an update on Dux Brittanarium

Quote
Morning all,

I just thought you'd all like to know that we have a few bits of news regarding Dux Britanniarum. Firstly the "limited edition" figures arrived today. We'll be giving away a specially commissioned 28mm Arthur figures with the first thousand sets of rules sold. I have put a draft of the rule cover at the top of the group which shows the very helmet that out Arthur is wearing. It really is a fantastic figure sculpted to match the Gripping Beast figures which we are selling as Starter Armies.

Secondly, Warbases will be adding a page showing their Dux Britanniarum bases at some point in the next week.

Thirdly, the rules will be at the printers next Friday, so we are on course for release on the 30th of July. The rules will be perfect bound with an A3 pull out map covering Britain in around 460AD which serves as the starting point of the period covered.

The rules will be £20 in hard copy, the card deck will be £8 or you can buy the full set for £25. We will be producing the PDF version with a set of printable cards for £15 and we'll be doing a tablet version with printable cards for the same price. For advanced orders we will be providing the PDF version or the tablet version as a free gift. Once the rules are published we will be doing a hard copy and pdf bundle or a hard copy and tablet bundle but I haven't got my head around the pricing for that yet as that will depend on whether you want cards or not.

As always, I will be taking advanced orders once I have seen the proof from the printer and approved them.

Cheers

Rich

So the initial play testing phase is over & the campaign can start
