02.06 Hunting Triel Elderast

You ask Jenya about the red haired woman that Shensen had described from the battle at the Lucky Monkey. She doesn't know of anyone specifically fitting that description (and she knows and meets lots of people in her position - the church is well attended by the citizens of Cauldron) but will make enquiries on your behalf.

A day later you get a note from Jenya saying that she believes the person you are looking for is someone named Triel Elderast. Her main source of information comes from Skylar Krewis a sergeant of the city guard.

You go to see Skylar, who is on duty at the North gate when you meet with him. He dredges his memory for the events as it was 10 years ago when he was a mere grunt. He says she was on street patrol with her unit at the time. She killed them all without mercy (reason still unknown to this day). She was badly wounded in the combat, but made her escape. No one ever caught up with her. Patrols were dispatched from the city (as could be afforded) as it was believed she had managed to get out of Cauldron. Some blood trails were found which were believed could be hers but she was never caught. It was believed from the information that they had that she would have died of her wounds in the wilderness. her lodgings and remaining belongings were searched but revealed nothing as to the motive. He does not know where she lived, he was not directly involved with the investigation (only a private back then) and most of the information is hearsay from other guardsmen. He does know that there was a 200gp or so reward back then for her capture.

A couple of days following on from the first piece of info Jenya summons you to the Temple as she has more information. Apparently Triel is a notorious and wanted criminal. About 10 years ago she was a city guard. She killed the group she was with, evaded justice and made her escape from the city and the law. She had not been heard from since and was assumed to have died of her wounds in the wilderness.
