First
Wing Commander Grey died raving mad in secure accommodation at the eastern defence base under Nexus   and awoke some time later in the underworld a Ghost & sane. Having previously experienced the underworld of the central east whilst living he decided to get as far away from it as he could and made his way to the far north east where as he had something of a liking for the writing of  Jack London and felt it was very much like the Alaska & northern Canada of which London wrote decided to stay becoming a friend of the Mouse people who he saw as a mixture of Eskimo & north American Indian. In discussion with one of the elder mouse peoples ghosts a shaman called Logir

Logir taught  Grey much of the magic of the dead including that which allowed him to manifest in creation during calibration which Grey used as Logir had to produce a family of Ghost bloods amongst the still living Mouse people, and to create a small cult of ancestor worship for as Logir had also taught him being worshipped is power. However Logir and Grey had something of a falling out over this because Grey saw his handful of Ghost blooded children as family Logir saw them as tools. The two are still friends if a little distant.

After falling out with Logir Grey moved into the village of the moose people where he currently lives and quickly because of his western education and the lore taught by Logir became its shaman.

Grey sensed Bob's arrival in creation very shortly after he arrived but as it was so far away could not do any thing about it so he bided his time until he became aware that Bob was on the Blessed isle. The Blessed isle is much more accessible as the underworld of The Blessed isle is Stygia & that can be reached by any one strong enough and brave enough to enter the labyrinth. It was still not a journey to be taken lightly however with the death of the Bull of the north in the autumn of that year and that the angry ghost of the Bull had an army of ghosts already, those killed with him as well as a grudge against the most powerful deathlord of the north Walks Shrouded in mists and Shadows who he believes betrayed him to the Realm allowing his forces which had crushed eight legions to be decapitated and scattered by two and him slain by a lone dragon blooded officer.

Second
The Moose People and the related Mammoth Aurochs peoples live a hard life in creation and seldom leave ghosts and when they do they live the same hard scramble existence in the underworld they did in life. Now however there are a horde of them sent hither by the avenging eleventh and fourteenth legions of the realm as well as their general who has lead them to victory before over odds none would have though possible.

There are however two problems with this first the power of the  Deathlords would be more than a match for one Solar even with an an army and no ghost even of an exalt caries that sort of power. The second is that the Deathlord has largely ignored the lands of the Moose people as it has few resources  it would want to use  and like its equivalent in creation a very sparse population. The presence of a huge army will change all this even if it was not intent on making war with it. Worse the new army of ghosts is going around the area recruiting and taking over the area's spare resources and it would seem that all the resident ghosts will shortly be forced into one camp on another to survive, which might work in the short term but those accounted wise Grey, Logir & Yavery believe not in the long term.

Third
Tepet Agarm the ghost of a major in the Tepet legions who died trying to lead a company of survivors who had fought clear of the initial ambush and encirclement only to die of cold and starvation is looking to gather together as many of the ghosts of his former comrades and though initially friendly is becoming very suspicious of why he seems to be the only one when they Bull of the North & his army killed the better part of fifty thousand in a five day running battle.
