TO CELEBRATE MEDIEVAL ‘TUTBURY DAY’!!  Meet at the haunted Leopard pub in Tutbury in case any of you may like a ’spirit’ to calm your nerves and then, accompanied by some of the TUPS Investigation team, you will be shown around the Historically Haunted village of Tutbury, stopping at some NEW areas of reported hauntings! As darkness falls you will join other members of the team who will escort you through the churchyard and up to Tutbury Castle.  There you will partake in a light Supper in the Tea Rooms (included in ticket price), afterwards spending time in the Great Hall & infamously haunted King’s Bedroom. Then you will be escorted into the Dungeon…in total darkness…DARE YOU JOIN US?

Meet Helen from Historical Hauntings and the Tutbury Unexplained & Paranormal Society (TUPS) Team at The Leopard pub, Monk St, Tutbury, before we treat you to a spine-chilling evening, listening to tales of terror in and around the village of Tutbury and Tutbury Castle! MEDIEVAL MAYHEM is a celebration of ‘TUTBURY DAY’, hear about it’s Medieval origins and about the Fayre held annually in the village for many years, including the Bull-Running and its associated customs & traditions

*Meet the TUPS Team at 7.00pm giving you a chance to have a ’spirit’ to calm your nerves..and at approx 7.30pm the TUPS team will be your ghost walk guides daring you to join them on a scary ghost walk around the historically haunted village of Tutbury.  Listen to tales of bloodshed and murder, Tutbury’s Omen of Death, The Bull-Running tragedy and The sad story of The White Lady who haunts this place hundreds of years after her tragic death. (including some new areas of reported recent paranormal activity – July 2011)

*Then you will be handed over to Si and other team members who will escort you through the Churchyard and the walk up to Tutbury Castle.  The well-known ghosts who haunt that area might well be there to greet you by the John O’Gaunt’s Gateway…you HAVE BEEN WARNED!!

*You will have a short reprise while you partake in a light supper of jacket potato (and fillings) and tea/coffee in the welcoming Tea Rooms at the Castle….but your break will be brief as the whole TUPS team and Castle Ghosts summon you all to join them in the Great Hall and infamously scary King’s Bedroom, where hopefully the spirit of John of Gaunt and others will make themselves known to you!

*Later, as the Castle staff leave the grounds, we will venture (bravely, I hope!) into the Dungeon, to hear horrific, stories of bloody Medieval torture…and finally a vigil in the Dungeon in TOTAL DARKNESS….

*This event is NOT for the faint-hearted BUT there will be First Aiders in attendance for those who need their assistance!

*The majority of the TUPS team previously worked together at the Castle some years ago and as such we are all very excited at the prospect of working with the ghosts of the Castle, yet again, as we rarely had an evening without activity!

*FREE Car Park is available directly opposite The Leopard pub.

*Please note: the ghost walk route may be subject to last minute alteration due to weather conditions at the discretion of Historical Hauntings/T.U.P.S Team and Tutbury Castle.
