Another one of Sids simply brilliant M&B  AAR's which follows on from the last one & features terrain whose construction was previously described on his  Blog

What Sid's Psychotic Saxons did on the Via Claudia

This is the same battle report as on the Lardie news but form the Saxon not the Briton perspective

Maping the Past

Thoughts on building campaign Maps for wargaming centred around the Dux Bellloram play test but more generally applicable

& what we have all been waiting for more Saxon on Briton action as the evil Saxons warlord tries to gather more prestige at the expense of the gallant Britons

all written in Sid's unique style.

I have had a proper look at the Maps article & noticed the links to the maps of Roman Britain & I intend to borrow parts of them to base my campaign map for Dux Beloum on. Even better stuff than my first bleary eyed reading at 4am suggested & it struck me a pretty damned good then.

A bit of a Mega update post here as I am dealing with a backlog caused by my being off line for nearly a fortnight & lots of stuff has happened in Roundwoods world whilst my back was turned. Our Sid's a sneakier cove than I had him down for it  seems

First a new Angle on Post Roman Britain

Then some more dodgy poetry in the style of the period

http://sidneyroundwood.blogspot.com/2012/02/song-of-oswic-454-ad.html

& finally some musings on the art of rules writing for the dark ages with the new mechanics for Dux Britanicum
