Bob wondered where to begin  Roll Eyes

Well it had been at least a couple of weeks since he tried to get everyone killed, that was an improvement!

He'd noticed the girls hadn't been too keen to trust him with the translator thing, not since the incident.
Though that was starting to ware a little thin.

Still it was reassuring to find that soldiers were soldiers, no matter where (or when) you were.
The officer seemed honest enough and genuinely interested in the welfare of his men.
A good "killing officer" as his grandfather used to say, on account that he'd get you killed by accident, rather than one of those "murdering officer" bar-stewards who'd send you off to get killed on purpose, for a reason.

The hunting party the soldiers guarded was apparently formed from the "great and the good" of the kingdom, the nobles and the wealthy.
That left Bob regarding them with a healthy dose of suspicion.  And then there was their guide.........

His own situation hadn't improved either.
Since he'd come to this place, or was it since he'd been injured, he'd been able to do things he hadn't done before.
What had caused it he didn't know but he was sure it was linked to this place, it had to be!

The girls had gotten very exited about it when he'd finally shared his secret.
What all the fuss was about he didn't know.
As far as he could tell the ability to shape novelty stone trinkets wasn't going to be a great deal of use to anyone!

Still it had been amusing to see George's reaction to the little stone jedrt.
