Further exploration of the island

We rejoin the rest of the party and rest up before returning to the upper part of the island.  During the night each member of the party receives a vivid dream, where we are a member of the monastery all those years ago and witness an attack by drow, an explosion in the corridor between the library and temple disgorges many dark elves who battle the inhabitants.  The end of the dream shows the high priest rending some mighty magic to turn the last defenders into undead to fight off the drow.
The party makes its way back to the ruins and find some well disguised tracks that were not here the previous day.  At the cliffs we find ropes stretching down to the sea and spy a sailboat some distance off.  Making our way back to the ruins and are assailed by ghasts, the squire Derek is soon paralysed but the others decimate these undead.
Moving further into the ruins we hear a voice call out in dwarvish saying they have come for the Gnome, Taran quickly casts a slow poison fearing that these are another bunch of slavers, as the others spread out to take cover in the nearest buildings.  We are assailed by armed men some of whom are firing poisoned arrows, as well as a hidden priest and mage judging by the fact that Carinne and Krachtig are targeted by a fireball and the squire and Galvish are held.  The others engage in hand to hand combat and whittle down these new enemies, leaving the spellcasters to last, Taran rushes in but gets little back up, he manages to slay the priest but finds the mage has protected himself with stoneskins, soon the others arrive and fire arrows at him at the same time that Krachtig delivers the killing blow from behind, which also triggers the fire shield the mage had and knocks the gnome unconscious.  We find they carry a scroll with Krachtigs name and description with a dead or alive bounty of 10,000 gold.  Interesting.
We wander deeper into the ruins and Carinne shouts that undead are nearby just as specters swarm up out of the ground and attack us.  Taran, his squire and Lanneus each lose levels to these creatures before they can be beaten.  We decide to use our last wish to restore our energy before carrying on, Derek heads back to the main camp, having decided it is too dangerous an environment for him.
As we enter the building we believe to be near the library and temple we are accosted by undead drow skeletons, these are much tougher to put down than other skeletons we have encountered before but still manage to overcome them.  Walking down the corridor we see the place from our dreams, where the drow had swarmed out of a hole.  When we pass by this hole the rear members of the party are set upon by undead assassins, luckily their blades fail to find their mark and are destroyed.
The corridor turns again and we start to see skeletons lying along it and through a doorway the main temple is spotted with a mass of drow skeletons at one end and many other corpses scattered throughout.  With a sense of foreboding we enter the temple and immediately the skeletons spring to life, Taran is nearly out of spells and cannot cast the remove curse he wants to so battle ensues, these drow are even tougher than any of the ones we have encountered so far and takes many blows to knock them down, to add the the confusion there are spellcasters amongst their number, soon Galvish is again held and Taran disappears in a green light, the victim of a disintegrate ray, Krachtig, the paladin and Corinne all drop through multiple lightning bolts.  Only Barrigan remains and he makes short work of the priest and sets about the deathly mage.  Once these foes are overcome he quickly recites the remove curse spell and breaks the ancient magic which binds these elves to their undying duty.  Upon finding another wish when all the magics are searched through he manages to bring back Taran and restore life to the Paladin.
