The artwork, cards and ships are of excellent quality and very much in theme.

The game is simple but great fun, each player starts the game by drawing one of their treasure cards and placing it face up in the middle of everyone. They then select one of their 5 ships to place on it (2 of which have cannons marked on the base meaning they are protected). Each subsequent turn a player either places another treasure card with a ship on it, collect a card with their ship on it (putting the treasure card on their scoring pile) or attacks another players ship using one of 3 cannon cards.

If a player attacks another ship if it is protected the defender takes the cannon card for their scoring pile (worth 1 vp) otherwise if the ship is defended the cannon cards goes out of the game. Each treasure card has a different value so it becomes a bluffing game as to where the defended ships are. Play continues until all ships and cannon cards have been played. Then each player totals their scoring pile the one with the most points wins.

As I said a simple game but is always enjoyable and very quick to play so ideal as a start or end of session game.

A worthy little addition to your collection.
